A Legacy of Commerce Education Since 1972
Tinsukia Commerce College was born out of a vision to bring quality commerce education to the remote corners of Assam. An Ad-hoc Committee was constituted in 1972, and the college began its journey with no funds and no building of its own.
In 1977, the Government of Assam allotted land, and a new building was constructed entirely from student fees — without external donations. The college was provincialised under the Govt. of Assam in December 2005 and has since grown into a full-fledged institution offering programmes in Commerce, Arts, and Management.
We are committed to empowering rural and urban youth through education in commerce, computer science, management, and social sciences.
Programmes Offered
B.Com (Honours & General)
Undergraduate Commerce under Dibrugarh University. Covers accounting, finance, business law, taxation, and more.
B.A. (Arts)
Bachelor of Arts programme. Social sciences, humanities and general education.
Higher Secondary (HS)
Commerce & Arts streams at +2 level under the State Higher Secondary Education Council.
MBA & Distance Programmes
MBA, MA, M.Sc. (Math), BCA and various PG/diploma/certificate courses.
Certification Courses
Short-term professional and vocational certification courses for skill development and employability.
Computer Education
ICT-enabled education with computer lab, internet access, and digital learning tools.

The college imparts commerce and social science education with permanent affiliation and facility for offering General and Honours courses in UG level under Dibrugarh University and Higher Secondary Commerce under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Guwahati. The college also imparts education through few courses under KKHSOU, Guwahati, Distance Education under DDE, Dibrugarh University and ASOS under AHSEC.
